Norway vaccinating first batch of salmon against ISA

Treatments started in December.

The vaccine is only permitted on salmon and trout that are to be released into the ISA zone regulation for Mid and South Troms counties in northern Norway.

Farms outside the area are permitted to use the vaccine on smolt that are to be delivered to fish farms in the zone.

ISA-vaccinated fish are to be set out no later than July 31 and must be kept separate from other fish in the smolt-raising facility and during transport.
