Norway trout exports to Russia sink

Up until October last year, Russia took in 57 percent of all trout exported from Norway. That percentage is considerably reduced this year.

In the first 10 months of last year, 29,247 metric tons round weight of Norwegian trout was exported to Russia, which accounted for 57 percent of all trout exports from Norway.

Export value amounted to NOK 753 million (€89.2 million/$122.7 million). In terms of worth Russia accounted for 52 percent of exports from Norway.

In the same period this year export to Russia totaled 25,022 metric tons round weight, or 48 percent of the Norwegian export.
