Figures from the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) show that Norway exported 1,412 metric tons of fresh salmon fillet to the United States in March, worth NOK 73.6 million (€8.36 million/$11.18 million).
The second-largest market for fresh fillet was France, which imported 925 metric tons at a value of NOK 45.6 million (€5.17 million/$6.92 million).
So far this year France is still the biggest importer of Norwegian fillet, with 2,489 metric tons at a value of NOK 124 million (€14.08 million/$18.83 million).
