The Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program released its updated rankings of four major Atlantic salmon farm regions across the globe late Monday evening, each of them continue to be listed as "red" or "avoid."

The new ranking comes on the heels of last week's story from IntraFish, which stated Monterey Bay had flip flopped on its listing of the British Columbia region as "yellow" or "good alternative" in an earlier draft report.

According to last year's draft report, dated April 3, 2013, Seafood Watch gave the BC salmon farmers a "green"  in data and source; a "yellow" in effluent, habitat, chemicals (also referred to as antibiotics), feed and escapes.
