Figures from the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) show 13,469 metric tons of salmon fillet exported from Norway -- 9,075 metric tons of fresh fillets and 4,394 metric tons of frozen fillets.
In the same period last year, exports of fresh and frozen fillets totaled 10,774 metric tons: 7,865 metric tons fresh and 2,909 metric tons frozen.
So far this year, the European Union has imported less fresh fillet than last year, 6,446 metric tons this year against 6,952 metric tons last year.
