Figures from the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) show salmon exports, converted to round weight, were 17,111 metric tons in week 35 of this year.
In the same week last year, the figure was 12,098 metric tons round weight.
In week 34 of this year, exports totaled 15,902 metric tons.
In total, Norway has exported 497,747 metric tons of round weight salmon this year, compared to 439,035 tons last year.
Fresh exports
France is back in the driver's seat compared to last week, where Poland was the largest purchaser of fresh salmon.
France imported 1,716 metric tons of fresh salmon in week 35, Denmark 1,560 metric tons, Poland 1,347 metric tons, and Russia 1,198 metric tons.
