Norway, Russia to inspect 25 salmon exporters

Norwegianand Russian authorities have agreed on a plan to inspect 25 Norwegian salmon and trout factoriesthat export to Russia.

The inspectionswill be carried out by officials from both the Russian veterinary agencyRosselkhoznadzor and the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (NFSA), the NFSAtold IntraFish.

The 25companies include AlsvagFiskeprodukter, Pundslett Laks and Martin E.Birknes as well as the 22 exporters not affected by the temporary ban imposed by Russia on fresh salmon and trout exports from certain Norwegian exporters. (See list below).
