The company is "open to talk to anyone in the industry” and believes other pelagic companies will come forward, Sigurd Teige, chairman of the board of Norway Pelagic Holding AS, told IntraFish.
“We believe in a strong pelagic sector in Norway, and we believe some of the other actors in the industry will look into the possibility of working with Norway Pelagic.”
The deal would have seen Norway Pelagic take 100 percent ownership of Fryseriet and Ytterstad Export, with Ytterstad Fiskeriselskap’s share in Norway Pelagic rising to 10.3
