No less than 37 instances of pancreas disease (PD) were reported in Norway in June. This is equal to the total number of PD cases reported for the first six months of last year, according to an overview from the Norwegian Veterinary Institute.
There have been 84 instances of the disease reported for the first half of this year. Southern Norwegian counties were hit hardest.
In Hordaland county, there were 13 cases confirmed and three suspected instances. In Rogaland county there were seve confirmed case and two suspected instances of PD.
