In October, 45 tons of halibut were exported, at a value of NOK 3.8 million ($550,000/€437,000), according to figures from the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC).
Exports for the first 10 months of this year total 443 tons, at a value of NOK 36.4 million ($5.3 million/€4.2 million). So far this year prices have averaged NOK 82.35 ($12/€9.47) per kilo.
In the same period last year, exports totaled 585 tons, worth NOK 49.1 million ($7.2 million/€5.6 million). The average price was NOK 84.08
