Figures from the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) show salmon export volume declined the last few weeks, after a period with relatively stability.
The bulk of exports from Norway clearly come from fresh salmon, and the NSC overview shows export volume has fallen by 1,562 metric tons in the space of two weeks. In the same period the price of fresh salmon has dropped by NOK 4.99 (€0.63/$0.84) per kilogram.
NSC figures show it was the opposite for weeks 30 and 31 last year, when salmon export volume improved.
