The prospect is something that excites Leroy Seafood CEO Ole Eirik Leroy.
“We should focus our efforts more on the countries that in Norwegian trade statistics are listed almost as an afterthought in 'other markets,'" Leroy said.
At conference after conference this year, Leroy has repeated the message he's convinced at least some of the markets with the greatest short-term potential for increased salmon exports are in a group of countries such as South Korea.
As a salmon-consuming nation, South Korea re\mains largely unchartered.
