License allocations Norway's South Trondelag county were completed recently, with several of the applicants winning grants for additional capacity.
Erviks Laks and Orret, which already had two production licenses in the area, were granted one new license. Knutshaugfisk, which held two licenses in the region, recived another license.
Other companies receiving licenses include HitraMat, Refsnes Laks, Masoval Fiskeoppdrett, and Lernes Fiskeindustri.
Though SalMar, one of Norway's largest producers, did not receive additional licenses, the allocations will see more raw material heading into its processing plant in Froya, Norway.
