The company, run by food entrepreneur Heiner Kamps, is set to acquire Rugen Feinkost, a seafood processor that specialized in marinated fish products.
Rugen Feinkost, which has annual sales of around €61 million ($82.3 million) for 2010 and employs 240 million people at plants in Sassnitz, Garz and Rostock, will be consolidated into the Homann Feinkost division of HK Food.
The company specializes in the production of marinated fish products, said a spokesman for HK Food, adding that a purchase price is not to be made public.
