New figures by the Norwegian Seafood Council show salmon exports hit a total of 23,279 metric tons of live weight in week 14, an increase of 1,277 metric tons compared to the previous week.
So far this year, exports stand at 274,459 metric tons of live weight, compared with 262,801 metric tons in the first 14 weeks of 2013.
Exports of fresh salmon totaled 17,179 metric tons in week 14, compared with 16,132 tons the previous week. The average export price also jumped week-on-week from NOK 43.83
