The Coastal Alliance for Aquacutlure Reform (CAAR), an affiliation of several NGOs fighting the farmed salmon industry, began running an ad last week on public transit in the metro Vancouver are, with the primary buy on the “Canada Line” skytrain that runs from the airport to downtown.
The ad says net-pen salmon farming is harming wild salmon populations, and asks people not to eat farmed salmon "until the industry cleans up its act." It ends with a Web address, www.bettersalmon.org.
