After repeatedly calling out the world’s largest canned tuna company, Thai Union Group (TU), to take steps toward eliminating "labor abuse and destructive, wasteful fishing practices from its supply chains," environmental group Greenpeace is now switching gears and focusing on retailers and brands associated with TU.
As part of Greenpeace’s recently launched global “NotJustTuna” campaign, the NGO urges retailers, brands and consumers to step up to the plate against accepting TU tuna. The campaign pushes #NotJustTuna because TU's brands and subsidiaries sell tuna harvested through methods that endanger other species, not just tuna.
