The NGO made its comments following a story last week in The New York Times about the results of FDA research on the use of three chemicals used in Chilean salmon that are banned in the United States.
“This reaffirms the indiscriminate use of emamectin benzoate and antibiotics in the salmon industry, which different organizations reported some time ago, and also shows the inefficiency of Chile’s regulations and control,” the foundation said.
