A year after Finnish NGO Finnwatch's report "Cheap Comes With a High Price" revealed violations of basic human and labor rights in Thai factories processing tuna, the group's newest report, "Out of a Ditch, Into a Pond," states improvements have been made, but more needs to be done.

Labor conditions in the tuna companies had partly improved and workers were given back personal documents, but while some old problems persisted in the factories, new problems were discovered, the report states.

"Exporting industries in Thailand have serious structural issues that need to be addressed in order to solve problems in their labour conditions," Finnwatch wrote.
