Exports of salmon from Norway ended up at 14,289 metric tons round weight in Week 24, an increase from Week 23, when export volume totaled 13,271 metric tons. Week 24 in 2008 produced 15,183 metric tons.
So far this year, 331,745 metric tons of salmon round weight have been exported, up from 307,154 metric tons last year, the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) reported.
Exports of fresh salmon totaled 10,276 metric tons in Week 24, down in relation to the same week last year, when 10,864 metric tons were exported.
