Negotiations between Norway, the Faroe Islands and the European Union over the 2010 mackerel fishery came to an inconclusive close in Edinburgh last week.
Norway accused the EU of shifting its position while the Pelagic Regional Advisory Council (RAC) of EU fishing operators unleashed a broadside at Iceland for announcing a unilateral 130,000 metric ton mackerel quota and Norway for setting a 100,000 metric ton horse mackerel quota for next year.
