Chilean salmon company Multiexport Foods posted a revenue of $178.9 million (€158.4 million) in the first half through June this year, 10 percent less than the same period last year.
"This decrease is explained by the strong decline in prices experienced major markets, partially offset by higher sales volume," said the company.
The company sold 32,015 metric tons of raw material in the first half of the year, 10 percent more, year-on-year.
Of this total, 95 percent, or 30,408 metric tons, were of Atlantic salmon.
