The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) unveiled a Portuguese language microsite, linked to the main London-based portal, today, and the move is part of "a growing commitment not only to Portugal in the European region but also to Brazil," the group said.
Part of the motivation behind the site, which is the MSC's 13th language site, was "increasing interest" from Brazilian fisheries to become MSC certified. Brazil, where the MSC has a representative, has emerged as the leading South American power and is the world’s fifth largest country.
