Morrisons Best albacore tuna steaks in olive oil and Morrisons Best albacore tuna steaks in spring water display the MSC logo.
The tuna is caught by vessels part of the American Albacore Fishing Association (AAFA), a nonprofit corporation representing commercial pole and troll vessels on the U.S. West Coast.
This accreditation means the tuna is caught by pole-and-line, with each fish being caught individually.
“Offering sustainable canned tuna gives our customers increased choice of purchase across even more areas of our business, so we hope to see these accreditations continue to grow,” said Craig Simpson, canned fish buyer for Morrisons.
