Former Morpol CEO and owner Jerzy Malek, purchased 94 percent of the cod production company Codfarmers just before Christmas. He is now forcing the remaining shareholders to redeem their shares -- in spit of having no plans to farm cod.
"I don't have any concrete plans just now, but have several ideas about what can happen. At the moment it’s time to evaluate," Malek told IntraFish.
He previously hinted he would concentrate on trout production, but this would require a conversion of the cod production licenses, which the Norwegian authorities are unlikely to approve.
