The deal values Jokelfjord at an enterprise value of NOK 490 million (€63.4 million/$82.5 million), or an equity value of NOK 510 million (€66 million/$85.9 million), Morpol said in a statement.
Jokelfjord Laks has been looking for a buyer since at least last December, and Morpol has repeatedly expressed its intention to acquire Norwegian salmon farms.
Previous estimates of the company had pinned its value at between NOK 450 million (€58.2 million/$75.8 million) and NOK 500 million (€64.7 million/$84.2 million).
Fouded in 1986 and based in the region of Troms, Jokelfjord owns seven commercial salmon licenses and harvested 6,700 metric tons of salmon in 2010, with an expected volume of 7,000 metric tons for 2011.
