A second round of EU/Norway talks to try to agree total allowable catch (TACs) and management of shared North Sea stocks in 2014 was scheduled to start on Mar. 5 in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom.
They will be preceded by yet another meeting of coastal states to try to agree a deal on mackerel, blue whiting and Atlanto-Scandian herring. These talks were due to start on March 3. A deal on mackerel is central to the EU/Norway talks that follow and are likely to last all next week.
