Investment firm Kverva purchased 600,000 shares in Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) in March and April this year, upping its stake from 5.74 percent to 7.13 percent, according to an update from the shareholder register at the Oslo Stock Exchange.
The firm, which is SalMar's main shareholder, also owns a minority stake of 2 percent in Grieg Seafood.
These two companies are entities of such dimensions that one cannot rule out the possibility that larger companies will make a bid to buy them.
