The acquisition, which was formalized in February, adds Skogland’s 40 years of experience in refrigeration systems to the MMC group’s already strong refrigeration department.
Skogland has 16 employees and a turnover of NOK45 million (€5.1 million/$6.8 million) in 2008. The company recently moved into a modern factory and offices at Kvala Industrial Estate in Haugesund.
“MMC now becomes an even more complete supplier to the fishing industry, strengthening the service level for all customers in Norway and abroad. The whole coastline in Norway is well covered,” Leif Gjelseth, the major owner in the MMC group’s holding company MMC Tendos Holding, told IntraFish title Fishing News International.
