Minh Phu is denying any confirmation of CP Foods buying 40 percent of the company, and said negotiations are still ongoing.
According to Vietnamese media reports, Minh Phu is dismissing the CP Foods offer as rumors.
Nothing has been decided yet, but Minh Phu is still deliberating with several interested parties, which include CP Foods and a Japanese company, a Vietnam-based source told IntraFish.
The Japanese company is believed to be one of Minh Phu’s customers, which paid the company’s factories a visit last year.
