Siggs, who was U.K. director for the alliance before the promotion, replaced Mike Boots, who left the organization to take a job in President Barrack Obama’s administration.
The alliance is holding its annual Seafood Summit in Paris Jan. 31-Feb. 2.
IntraFish: What changes have you made at Seafood Choices Alliance since taking over for Mike Boots?
Melanie Siggs: Mike's been gone for less than a year, so there's a lot of him still left and we all like it that way. Moreover, we're delighted to have him working on ocean and water issues at the White House's Council on Environmental Quality.
