In relation to the recent totally incorrect and poorly researched Sunday Times article, I could probably just repeat my comment of Fishing NewsAug. 31 issue when I asked the question "Where is the support?"

It has been bad enough in recent months when known anti-fishing industry groups have been trying to fill the public with doom and gloom images of our industry, but now respected national newspapers are going down the same road.

Again, I ask the question of the UK's Minister Benyon and Scottish fisheries secretary Richard Lochhead, how can they sit back and turn a blind eye to these attacks on the industry without standing up to publicly point out these articles, particularly the Sunday Times’ one, is blatant mis-use of available data to come up with a "2 + 2 = 5" result.
