“It’s unfortunate that the United States is stopping imports from Marine Harvest Chile, but the issue will only have limited financial significance for the group,” Kjetil Lye, analyst at Handelsbanken Capital Markets, told IntraFish.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) detected traces of the banned bacteria-inhibiting and fungi-destroying substance crystal violet in random samples.
"This is an unfortunate matter for the company. It’s now essential we find out where the substance originated from and prevent this reoccurring," said Lye.
