Norwegian salmon farming giant Marine Harvest on Thursday said it expects to report operational earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of NOK 850 million (€87.6 million/$95.5 million) in the fourth quarter of the year, down from more than NOK 1 billion (€103 million/$112.3 million) in 2014.

Start-up costs at the Rosyth processing plant in Scotland have been higher than previously expected, the company said, and have impacted results negatively by approximately NOK 70 million (€7.2 million/$7.9 million).

Total operational EBIT per kg through the value chain were about NOK 12.10
