Marine Harvest has an ambitious vision for its farmed salmon empire: build up a branded presence across the globe, partnering with all the major retail chains, the company's chairman Ole-Eirik Leroy said in his presentation at the IntraFish Seafood Investor Forum held in London earlier this month.
"Brand building is something we dream of and will achieve, given our history of traceability and healthy food," Leroy said. "But first and foremost Marine Harvest aims to be the preferred partner for the major chains across the globe."
