Marine Harvest's new factory -- on the site of the former Comilog factory in Boulogne-sur-Mer’s Capecure district -- opened in June last year and the move took a mere four days over a long weekend to shift out of the cramped old building to the new one.
“We lost only two days production,” said Maiko van der Meer, general manager of the company’s value-added products (VAP) division. “We are working with fresh fish and under those circumstances, you can’t afford to lose production days."
