The Oslo-based company, the world's largest farmed salmon producer, forecast its salmon output will reach between 335,000 metric tons and 345,000 metric tons for 2007 -- around 35,000 metric tons to 55,000 metric tons lower than its initial estimates of 370,000 metric tons to 390,000 metric tons.

The company cited disease and production problems in Chile as one factor in the production decline.

The transfer of Fjord Seafood Scotland and some of Marine Harvest Scotland's operations into Pan Fish Scotland removed 10,000 metric tons of production from the forecast, the company said.
