The vendor of record on the private label contract with Costco is Lafjord USA. Lafjord USA, a privately held company independent of Marine Harvest, was set up to supply the Costco contract in 1998, and established a relationship with Lafjord Group, a grower's co-op at the time. Hydro Seafood later bought Lafjord Group, then Marine Harvest took ownership of Lafjord Group with the purchase of Hydro.
