More og Romsdal's county governor in Norway approved Marine Harvest's application to increase the production of fingerlings at one of its plants.

The Norwegian salmon giant is planning to ramp up production at its hatchery in Flo in Ulstein og Romsdal from 850,000 salmon and trout fingerlings to 2.5 million annually, with an average weight of 130 grams.

The plant was established in 1986 and has had several owners since its inception.

Marine Harvest uses recycled water at the plant.
