Marine Harvest's recall of fresh Chilean salmon over listeria concerns, first announced June 15, has grown substantially, with dozens more retailers and restaurants added to the list of companies that purchased fish.

Among the companies subject to the recall were Sam's Club, reported the California Department of Health (CDPH).

Initially, the recall was limited primarily to Ralph's grocery stores and a handful of small restaurants.

The full list of retailers and foodservice firms that were subject to the recalls is now 48 pages long, and includes heavyweights such as Sam's Club, Lucky Supermarkets, Food Maxx, Save Mart and Winco, as well as high-end restaurants and sushi chains.
