“We have tested for ISA both before and after moving the fish. ISA has not yet been found in the fish and they were put ashore before we found ISA at Bjugn,” Jorgen Christensen, Marine Harvest communications director, told IntraFish.
This is the only party of fish that has been moved to other parts of the country from Bjugn, he said.
Marine Harvest has discussions with food safety authorities, and won't start the stripping of eggs from broodstock until they are absolutely sure ISA is not present, he said.
