The fish, which is being developed at Marine Farms’ Vietnam-based operations, will be sold into Europe by U.K. subsidiary Lakeland Group, and into the United States by Boston-based Nordic Group.
Lakeland had the fish on display at the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels and had “a fantastic response from some really serious players worldwide,” Lakeland Managing Director Wille Liston told IntraFish.
“At present, the product would appear ideal for the sushi market but also for foodservice. It also is good for smoking.
