In a matter of days new EU labeling laws come into force, and many processors are ill-equipped for the up-coming changes, according to Icelandic equipment supplier Marel.

The company has been trying to raise awareness for its Innova Labeling software as the Dec. 13 deadline approaches, noting its product can be a huge time and money saver.

The software allows processors to create labels with texts, images, barcodes, and line graphics, using drag and drop options and real-time visualization.

“There are requests regarding having certain parts written in bold, and various requirements in that area, and many processors are not that well equipped for these requirements yet," Marketing Manager Stella Bjorg Kristinsdottir told IntraFish.
