Scallop giant Mar-Lees Seafood filed a lawsuit with the New York Supreme Court last month against New York City-based meal delivery company Chefs Diet National Co., LLC as well as affiliated parties for an alleged contract breach and an unpaid bill for seafood products totaling damages of $523,198.80 (€469,922.79).

Other defendants include Gourmet Daily Delivery Holding Co., LLC, Chefs Diet Acquisition Corp. and Chefs Diet President Kevin Glodek.

Mar-Lees is seeking damages in an amount to be determined at trial; pre-judgment and post-judgment interest; costs and attorney fees from this lawsuit; punitive damages; and "other and further relief as this court deems just and proper," according to court documents.
