Schaumburg, Ill.-based Amazing Food, which won in the foodservice category for its miso-crusted salmon with soba noodles, edamame and teriyaki sauce, actually ended up a double winner on the day -- the company provided the cooking technology for retail winner Mar-Lees.
Mar-Lees took home the award for its Mediterranean salmon cooked with calamata olives, fresh tomato and lemon.
Mar-Lees Managing Director Steven McDonnell told IntraFish the product is attracting high retailer interest, and hopes the award will spur even more.
