Under the terms of the deal, Prudential, via PCA International Funds Vietnam Segregated Portfolio, a subsidiary of Prudential Asset Management Singapore, has invested $16 million (€10.2 million) into Amanda Foods, together with mangers including CEO Joseph Rifkin and Executive Director Paul Andriesz.
Rifkin called the deal "the beginning of a new era."
Amanda Foods, headquartered in Singapore, has over the past 17 years grown into one of the leading suppliers of seafood out of Asia.
The company supplies both private label and own-brand products, mainly shrimp but also pangasius and value-added products, from its factories in Vietnam, Sri Lanka and via partners across Asia.
