Spanish processor Lumar Seafood International reported an operating income of €951,181 ($1.2 million) for the first six months of 2014, 18.9 percent higher than the company had predicted in its business plan.

This was attributed to an increase in production, as well as optimization of the workforce leading to a 5.25 percent decrease in personnel expenses.
