The lawsuit filed this week in Circuit Court for Knox County, Tenn., against Captain D’s and Sagittarius Restaurants says Captain D's ran ads saying it would honor coupons from the Knoxville area Long John Silver's that closed, Nation's Restaurant News reported.

An ad placed in July in the Knoxville News Sentinel read: “With the closing of Long John Silver’s we will Honor any competitor coupons and be Happy to Serve You.”

The owner of the Knoxville Long John Silver's, D-Sea Inc., alleges in the lawsuit no Knoxville-area stores closed, and is seeking $260,000 (€175,870) in compensatory damages and undetermined punitive damages, court costs and lawyers fees, the report said.
