Americans ate an average 4.1 pounds of shrimp in 2008, the same as 2007 but below the 4.4 pounds eaten in 2006, according to the list compiled for NFI by H.M. Johnson & Associates.
Canned tuna consumption was 2.8 pounds per person, up from 2.7 pounds in 2007 but down from 2.9 pounds in 2006.
