A good review in today's IntraFish of the present situation on land-based salmon farming.
I expect the farms starting now will be able to bring salmon product to market and some will get higher pricing than regular commodity salmon pricing.
The problem is that these farms are not at a scale to achieve competitive cost of production with net pens. The future is with land-based production and at a lower cost of production than for ocean net pens.
